Our club sails the home waters of the Swift Creek Reservoir in Midlothian, Va. Membership is open to all levels of sailors from the surrounding communities.
The BSC hosts races, regattas and social events all year, welcomes families, offers classes for new and continuing Captains, and seeks to promote the sport of sailing in general. You don’t even need a boat to become a member!

The Brandermill Sailing Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage participation in sailing activities on the Swift Creek reservoir and promote excellence in sailing and sailboat racing.
Our objectives:
- To promote an appreciation of sailing in a fun, safe, and friendly atmosphere
- Hold regattas and fun races, granting awards and distinctions for participants
- Offer social events which foster positive relationships between all members of the club
- Be good stewards of the Swift Creek Reservoir
Club Bylaws
The Brandermill Sailing Club by-laws were adopted on November 13, 1987. It set out the rules for governing the club and the establishment of Club officers and committees.

Brandermill Sailing Club members and their guests participate in regattas, fun races, sailing lessons, and pontoon cruises entirely at their own risk. It is the individual’s responsibility to exercise due care in involvement and participation in all club-related activities. All participants agree to hold harmless the Brandermill Sailing Club and the Brandermill Community Association, their officers, members, volunteers, heirs and assignees from any and all claims, damages, actions, liability and expense, now and in the future, in connection with any and all personal and bodily injury and/or damage to their person, be it foreseen or unforeseen.
